Barnet Counselling Association is the professional association of counsellors working in GP surgeries in the London Borough of Barnet.  BCA was set up to promote high standards of professional practice within GP practices in Barnet, and as a support and information forum for those providing a counselling service.

Members meet quarterly to discuss issues of interest and concern.  Close links are maintained by BCA with Barnet Primary Care Trust, who have overall responsibility for the counselling scheme in Barnet surgeries.

All members of BCA are qualified counsellors who work in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Practice of their accrediting body.

This site provides information for patients who are thinking about going to a counsellor, GPs who want to use counsellors, and counsellors who work or want to work in general practice in Barnet. It also provides links to other mental health sites.
